The New England Rubber & Plastics Group, part of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society, is a technically oriented professional organization. It promotes personal relationships between those in education, polymer manufacture, supply of additives, compounding, processing and marketing of products and provides a regional network that aids in problem solving.

Our antecedents, the Boston and Rhode Island Rubber Groups, were similarly corporate members of the Rubber Division with many mutual members. In 2006, merger began with formation of a joint Board of Directors. It was completed in 2007 with the NERPG, Inc. registered as a nonprofit corporation of Massachusetts.
